At Hall’s Hill Farms, we raise heritage hog breeds on pasture. Yorkshire, spotted, and duroc hogs have rooted our fields, digging for bugs and happily playing with their brothers and sisters.
We strive to produce the most natural, sustainable pork possible, without hormones or antibiotics during the hogs’ lives and without added nitrates or sulfates during the butchering process. We feed our animals non-GMO grains, sourced locally from Bagdad Roller Mills in Bagdad, Kentucky.
Our pork is available as whole- or half-hogs. A half-hog will produce approximately 80 lbs of pork; a whole-hog will produce approximately 160 lbs. Each order contains a variety of cuts, including bacon, sausage, roasts, chops, and more. All pork is processed and packaged at a USDA-inspected facility, and customized according to your individual requests.
When it’s time for butchering, each customer receives a cut sheet to make their customized selections: mild or hot sausage, pork chops or tenderloin, cured or fresh hams, etc. Some customers even like to have most of the pork ground into sausage – it’s up to you!
We are currently taking orders for the 2019 season. We require a $100 deposit to reserve a half-hog; $150 deposit for a whole-hog. The deposit will be credited to your order and applied to the final cost. Price per pound is $6/lb. Pork will be available in September or October.
